About the SpeakerCAPT Peters is a native of Mount Laurel, New Jersey. He is a 2004 with honors graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, a 2005 graduate of Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training (Class #252), a 2012 cum laude graduate of the Rutgers School of Law, and a 2024 graduate of the Johnson School of Business at Cornell University with a Masters of Business Administration.
Upon successfully finishing training and certification as a Navy SEAL, he completed three combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Leaving active duty in 2009, CAPT Peters attended Rutgers School of Law, and was graduated in 2012. In 2013, CAPT Peters was recalled to active-duty service and spent ten months forward-deployed with a SEAL element assigned to Special Operations Command South. At present, CAPT Peters is assigned to SEAL Team EIGHTEEN.
In civilian life, CAPT Peters is a Vice President with Holman Enterprises in Mount Laurel, New Jersey. CAPT Peters is actively involved in the community. He served as a member of the Burlington County Board of Chosen Freeholders from 2016 until 2018. In January of 2018, CAPT Peters was sworn into the New Jersey Legislature as an Assemblyman representing New Jersey’s 8th
